Description
In a small dead end street, this former paper mill will be the ideal base for visiting and discovering the beautiful department of Côtes d'Armor. To the East, the Emerald Coast and to the West, the Goëlo Coast and the famous Pink Granite Coast. On site, the Gouet valley, a veritable green corridor in the city which is dominated by the Bois Boissel just 1.2 km (6 mins by car) from the cottage, an ideal playground for families and sports enthusiasts. When you return from your visits, you will enjoy resting and having lunch on the terrace with its pergola, facing the river. Only 250 m away, a Canoe-Kayak club will offer you the opportunity to practice paddle sports, at sea or in white water. The very friendly Port du Légué awaits you to enjoy the starred restaurants or not, its terrace bars, its markets or its walks along the marina.
Your vacation rental has several levels. On the ground floor: Kitchen area open to the living room, 1 bedroom with 1 160x200 bed, bathroom with shower and toilet (opening onto the bedroom on the ground floor and onto a small hallway), a large living room atypical on half level accessible by 8 steps. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms with 1 140x190 bed and 2 90x190 beds, bathroom with bath and toilet. A garage in the basement (access by 6 steps), equipped with a scullery and lingerie (washing machine and dryer), ideal for storing your canoes, windsurfing boards or parking a motorbike but no car. You will enjoy a natural garden of 1000 m² bordered by Le Gouët, river, secured by a fence, which will bring a nice touch of originality to your stay. Court that can park 2 cars.

Bay of St-Brieuc
Located between Armor and Argoat, between the land and the sea, Saint-Brieuc is the capital of the Côtes d'Armor department.
The town is an unmissable crossroads among the attractions of northern Britanny-Paimpol and the isle of Bréhat, Fréhel cape,all the small, colourful towns and villages in the back-country such as Pontrieux, Quintin, Moncontour and the artistic and historical centre of Dinan.
The three valleys (Gouédic, Gouët and Douvenant), give a rhythmic structure to the town. The environment is privileged, opening onto the remarkable bay - which has the fifth highest tides in the world.
The bay has many paths and pathways, and many more detours from the beaten tracks where walkers can discover the back country of this fascinating spot. Walking through the bushy countryside you'll discover a new view and pleasure - just take your time, nobody here is in a hurry, and you'll find some of the surprises we have waiting for you!

Nous sommes touchés par tant de gentillesse, c'est un beau cadeau qui nous est fait quand nos invités ont passé un bon séjour au Moulin Alain et sa famille méritent pleine confiance ,de bien gentils grands-parents avec des petits enfants comme tout le monde aimerait en avoir merci à eux de tout coeur!

The Gite was chosen as a convenient base for cycling along the Brittany Coast ( EV4 runs very close to the Gite and the EV8 is only a short distance away for more inland cycling trips). The Gite is situated a short walk ( approx. 1 mile from the Port Legue area ) were there are several bars and restaurants alongside the marina. It is also a short walk to the centre of St Brieuc ( although up quite a steep hill ) but the local bus does run past the end of the road and only costs a few euros. The Gite is light, spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It has an outside covered area which is great to shelter from the sun whilst eating/relaxing or sheltering from the rain at times!! It has a large garden that is secure and runs down a small river were we saw plenty of wildlife including a kingfisher. It was very tranquil and we were able to enjoy an un-disturbed good nights sleep. Car parking was good behind locked gates and the large garage was great for keeping our bicycles safe. Finally I must add the owners Mariannick and Paul and their daughter Rosemarie ( who kindly did some translating as our French is embarrasingly poor)who were most hospitable and friendly hosts. They made us most welcome and we are more than grateful for their help and patience. We had a great holiday and would not hesitate to return to the Gite.
