Dinan
Dinan in Brittany is a charming riverside town, full of medieval history, with a 13th century castle and ramparts that encircle this well-preserved sanctuary where time has stood still.
Wander through Dinan's narrow cobbled streets, lined with pretty half-timber houses, and discover the Flamboyant Gothic St Malo church, the Basilica of St Saveur and the 40m high Tour de l'Horloge (clock tower). Climb the 158 steps to the top for some fantastic views of the town and surrounding area. For even better views, why not take a walk along the ramparts, which, at nearly 2.7km long, are the oldest and most impressive in Brittany? In July the Fête des Remparts (Feast of the Ramparts) takes place, a marvellous festival recreating life in medieval times with street celebrations, a market and a jousting tournament and many people dressed in medieval costume. The Château de Dinan is now a museum dedicated to the town's history and Dinan's famous hero, Bertrand du Guesclin, a Breton knight who became a military commander during the Hundred Years' War is remembered with 4 different memorials across the town. In 1357 the English laid seige to the town but it resisted. When Thomas Canterbury kidnapped Guesclin's brother he settled the matter by single combat in the Place Champs Clos opposite the Place Dugesclin, wich is named after him and where today you will find the town market on a Thursday morning.

Maison de vacances spacieuse et très bien équipée, sur deux étages. Elle a été construite par le propriétaire Florian lui-même, qui a apporté beaucoup d'attention aux détails astucieux de la décoration. Elle est située sur un grand terrain verdoyant, à moins de 10 minutes à vélo de Dinan et à moins de 5 minutes d'une boulangerie excellente. On ne remarque la proximité de la N 176 que lorsqu'on est à l'extérieur, mais on s'y habitue en un rien de temps. Accueil chaleureux de la part de l'hôte. Nous pouvons recommander cette maison en toute bonne conscience. Il faut cependant savoir que le wifi est pour ainsi dire inexistant, en revanche il y a un bon réseau téléphonique G5, donc cela ne nous a pas dérangés.

Accueil parfait. Logement confortable. Situation géographique très bonne. Occasion de faire la connaissance d'autres locataires de gites adjacents. Séjour super sympa.

La location est très conforme a ce qui était annoncé tant au point de vue confort , propreté, l'accueil de Kataline et de Florian très agréable ; la disponibilité, le gentillesse sont au rendez-vous. Le seul petit point négatif aura été la connexion internet. Pour nous , adultes, ce fut un peu une cure de désintoxication - quelquefois internet aurait été le bienvenu pour des recherches genre " horaires des marées - mais pour notre ado ce fut parfois difficile; pourtant, cette petite gêne ne nous empêchera pas de conseiller fortement cette jolie petite location décorée avec beaucoup de goût . Quelques petits plats de service seraient les bienvenus. Petit plus, la présence de leur gentille chienne Rona qui vient régulièrement nous saluer avec discrétion. Grand merci à nos hôtes bretons Raymond, Françoise, Hélène et Tess avec leur petite chienne Fiona qui a paisiblement cohabité avec Rona
