On a large 2000 m² property, this vacation rental, adjoining the owner's house, offers spacious accommodation for 3 people. Located just 10 km from the sea, 4.5 km from Plancoët, known for its mineral water and 20 km from the pretty Medieval City of Dinan, its castle, its half-timbered houses and its cobbled streets, and 20 km from Lamballe and its national stud.
Your vacation rental includes, on the ground floor, a spacious dining room opening onto an equipped kitchen, a living room with sofa bed and library, separate WC. The entire ground floor is equipped with electric shutters. On the first floor: a bedroom for 3 people with adjoining bathroom (bath and WC): 1 bed 160x200, 1 bed 90x190. It is possible to separate the 2 beds by a screen, available to customers. The mezzanine offers a nice relaxation area. Dinan
Dinan in Brittany is a charming riverside town, full of medieval history, with a 13th century castle and ramparts that encircle this well-preserved sanctuary where time has stood still.
Wander through Dinan's narrow cobbled streets, lined with pretty half-timber houses, and discover the Flamboyant Gothic St Malo church, the Basilica of St Saveur and the 40m high Tour de l'Horloge (clock tower). Climb the 158 steps to the top for some fantastic views of the town and surrounding area. For even better views, why not take a walk along the ramparts, which, at nearly 2.7km long, are the oldest and most impressive in Brittany? In July the Fête des Remparts (Feast of the Ramparts) takes place, a marvellous festival recreating life in medieval times with street celebrations, a market and a jousting tournament and many people dressed in medieval costume. The Château de Dinan is now a museum dedicated to the town's history and Dinan's famous hero, Bertrand du Guesclin, a Breton knight who became a military commander during the Hundred Years' War is remembered with 4 different memorials across the town. In 1357 the English laid seige to the town but it resisted. When Thomas Canterbury kidnapped Guesclin's brother he settled the matter by single combat in the Place Champs Clos opposite the Place Dugesclin, wich is named after him and where today you will find the town market on a Thursday morning.

We first stayed at Le Gîte De La Ville Neuve 5 years ago and this was our first visit back to Brittany since the COVID pandemic began. This is a delightful area and the Gîte is a great place to explore it from. The coast, its towns, villages and many amazing beaches are not far away. Dinan is only half an hour’s drive and there is easy access to the lovely villages and hamlets along the River Rance Estuary on both sides, up to Dinard on the Western side and Saint-Malo to the East. The Gîte was again spotlessly clean when we arrived and its décor is tasteful but simple and so beautifully done. It’s spacious for two people with a well equipped kitchen and all the equipment and gadgets that you would probably need. It’s incredibly quiet and peaceful and Mme Oleron is a wonderful host.

Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour, la famille Oléron est charmante. Très belle maison confortable où rien ne manque, propreté irréprochable. Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable avec du très beau temps et de belles randonnées. Prêts à revenir avec plaisir.

Le logement est parfait. Très spacieux. Confortable. A proximité des lieux touristiques, le cap Frehel, Dinan, Dinard, St Malo... et de belles plages comme à St Cast le Guildo. Notre hôte était disponible, et très discrète.nous le recommandons.
