An attractive, stone-built longhouse 1km from the pretty character village of Jugon les Lacs which has been tastefully converted into 2 semi-detached gites, each with its own private patio and courtyard, and a large, communal garden. Guests will love the light, stylishly-decorated living room. In addition, each bedroom has an en-suite shower room and WC and beds are made on arrival. In fact, everything is provided to ensure a great holiday with family or friends (both gites can be rented). Enjoy a wide range of water sports at nearby Jugon (1.2km) including fishing, pedalos, windsurfing, canoeing and wakeboarding (12 fun obstacles). Lamballe 17km, Dinan 22km, Dinard 37km.

Dinan
Dinan in Brittany is a charming riverside town, full of medieval history, with a 13th century castle and ramparts that encircle this well-preserved sanctuary where time has stood still.
Wander through Dinan's narrow cobbled streets, lined with pretty half-timber houses, and discover the Flamboyant Gothic St Malo church, the Basilica of St Saveur and the 40m high Tour de l'Horloge (clock tower). Climb the 158 steps to the top for some fantastic views of the town and surrounding area. For even better views, why not take a walk along the ramparts, which, at nearly 2.7km long, are the oldest and most impressive in Brittany? In July the Fête des Remparts (Feast of the Ramparts) takes place, a marvellous festival recreating life in medieval times with street celebrations, a market and a jousting tournament and many people dressed in medieval costume. The Château de Dinan is now a museum dedicated to the town's history and Dinan's famous hero, Bertrand du Guesclin, a Breton knight who became a military commander during the Hundred Years' War is remembered with 4 different memorials across the town. In 1357 the English laid seige to the town but it resisted. When Thomas Canterbury kidnapped Guesclin's brother he settled the matter by single combat in the Place Champs Clos opposite the Place Dugesclin, wich is named after him and where today you will find the town market on a Thursday morning.

Gîte très bien équipé, spacieux, confortable, propre. Propriétaire très sympa et réactif si une demande est formulée. Plaisir d'une piscine couverte lorsque le temps n'est pas au beau fixe. Une autre bonne surprise est une connexion Wi-Fi de qualité. Les chiens sont les bienvenus. Il y a évidemment quelques détails améliorables selon les goûts et les habitudes de chacun. Le gîte (ou plutôt les gîtes) est situé dans une rue en cul-de-sac donc très calme. La ville de Jugon-les-Lacs est bien placée pour aller à la découverte de villes et villages environnants. Personnellement j'y retournerais avec plaisir.

Bcp d'espace dans notre gîte. L'espace piscine et jacuzzi sont un plus avec une météo très maussade. En outre, vu le tarif, il mériterait un petit rafraîchissement. Pas assez de vaisselle et de mauvaise qualité pour la cuisson. Manque des produits d'entretien pour le ménage de départ. Nous avons fait le point avec le propriétaire avant de partir. L'espace extérieur n'est pas vraiment clos donc impossible de laisser le chien dans le jardin. Nous avons passé une bonne semaine,nous nous sommes adaptés.

Ce gîte a tout le confort qu’il faut pour votre séjour. Super accueil du propriétaire. Vous êtes au centre de la campagne, mais avec toujours, cette proximité des grandes villes comme Dinan et Lamballe. Saint-Malo, est à 3/4 d’heure. Comme vu avec le propriétaire, le seul truc qu’il faudrait changer à son gîte, serait la literie de la chambre parentale. Merci pour ce superbe séjour. À bientôt.
