A real invitation to daydream and walk, an atmosphere between legend and reality, a remarkable site inhabited in its time by the Lord of Poul and Notre-Dame du Poul and much later by the famous Breton singer & storyteller Glenmor. You are there, an exceptional place in the heart of West Central Brittany, you will be welcomed in this green setting at the Manoir du Poul built in 1613 where a stay out of time awaits you for evenings around the fire of one of the historic fireplaces of the Manor. Each stone, low wall, sculpture exudes its history. Valérie and Michael go to great lengths for an unparalleled stay. Walkways over 15 ha. Child stay €10, meal €5 up to 5 years old.
Upstairs, 2 spacious and very comfortable bedrooms with shower, private wc. Glenmor with 1 bed 1.60 m and Les Trois Frères: family unit with 3 rooms (1 bedroom 1 bed 1.60 m, 1 bedroom 1 bed 1.60 m, 1 bedroom 2 beds 0.90 x 1.90). Breakfast in the authentic dining room with many homemade (jams, yoghurts, etc.) and local products. Table d'hôtes with French & international meals. Possibility of brunch. Parking on the property. The Abbey of Notre Dame de Bon Repos
At the beginning of August every year since 1987, the grounds of the abbey have been the venue for a "Son et Lumiere" show that attracts thousands of spectators. The abbey is also an ideal spot for picnics, water sports and is also well-known for the nearby restaurants and its Sunday market.

Dated 15th Century, It is surrounded by fishing lakes and paths for ramblers and cyclists.

Site en pleine campagne très agréable, environnement superbe, manoir très agréable, chambres très confortables, salle de bains parfaite, petit déjeuner au top et pour couronner le tout, accueil très chaleureux des hôtes. Nous recommandons.

Le Poul is a lovely manoir and Mike and Valerie are perfect hosts. We had such a warm welcome and we felt at home away from home... Valerie cooked us a great meal. We stayed for 3 nights, but were sorry to leave.. Nice sightseeing in the area: Brittanies enclosed churches, woodland, Rostrenen. We hope to go there again one day. High quality in the middle of Brittany. English spoken.

Nous avons passé une nuit au manoir du Poul, ancienne résidence de Glenmor. Le manoir est une bâtisse de caractère, tenue par des gens charmants. Les chambres sont décorées avec goût, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Les repas sont de qualité, et de nombreux produits faits maison sont disponibles. Nous y retiendrons avec plaisir !
